Chicago Tech Academy is an educational community that supports and challenges young women and men of diverse backgrounds to discover their passions and realize their true potential. They recently hosted their 3rd Annual Little Black Dress Night in conjunction with CNA and ChiTech's Young Women's Leadership Society (YWLS). This year's event brought together a panel of participants that YWLS recognizes as emerging women in tech and whose efforts are turning the tech industry on its heels and challenging the status quo. Our CEO and Founder Helen Levinson had the honor of being part of this panel. The event welcomed people from many backgrounds with the intent to:
~Provide an opportunity for a diverse group of women in tech to speak to YWLS and each other.
~Tackle the discussion of creating a qualified pipeline of diverse women pursuing STEM degrees and careers.
~Raise awareness and donations to support Young Women’s Leadership Society
Each panelist provided a unique perspective on what it means to be a woman in tech and what the many paths to success can look like. See this video for panelist highlights.
